![]() SOLUTION: Fixing Problems with Missing Sounds and Plugins in HALion 5 and HALion Sonic 2 (March 2015) If you are having trouble with older versions of these plugins, you might find my earlier articles helpful: The full versions of HALion Sonic 3, HALion 6, and Groove Agent 5. The versions of HALion Sonic SE, Groove Agent SE, Padshop, and Retrologue included with any flavor of Cubase 10, 11, or 12 (or Nuendo 10, 11, or 12 ). This post covers preset issues with the following product versions: Due to the recent epidemic of Cubase 12 users unable to locate presets for the HALion Sonic SE and Groove Agent SE plugins bundled with Cubase 12, I am back at it again with a brand new guide. Over the years I've published several articles on how to recover presets in various Steinberg instrument and effect plugins, and they're among some of my most viewed posts. Send RealCharts with Audio: If this option is enabled, Enable this option to send RealCharts with audio.I've experienced problems with missing plugin presets on nearly every version of Cubase I've used since 2010, and I know I'm not alone. Send Audio for MIDI Track: Enable this option to send rendered audio for MIDI tracks. Send Tracks After Generating: This allows the Plugin to automatically send tracks to Reaper after generating. Render Audio & Instructions: Enable this option to generate audio files and the Reaper instructions. Send Reaper Instructions Enable this option to send the Reaper Instructions instead of rendering audio tracks, which is faster. Move to Project Folder: With this option, you can move the Plugin tracks to the Reaper project folder. Overwrite Reaper Track: You can overwrite previous content on the destination Reaper track. ![]() Start Below Selected Track: This allows you to place the Plugin tracks below the destination Reaper track. At Bar: You can select a bar in Reaper where the Plugin tracks should be placed. Destination Reaper Track: This lets you select the destination Reaper track to receive media content from the Plugin. BB Track(s) to send: This allows you to select the Plugin tracks that will be sent Reaper. When you run the Plugin from Reaper®, there is a panel to set the following options: This new panel offers built-in specific support for the Reaper® DAW API allowing direct transfer of Band-in-a-Box® files to/from Reaper® tracks! New with the DAW Plugin Version 6.0, released with Band-in-a-Box® 2024 for Windows: the Reaper® Panel! looks neat, but if you load it into a reaper trak, then reaps will tell you its pc resource useage.īest to all. its ok to use the biab supplied plug ins. I believe its best to use biab to what it does best. its got some neat sounds.īut i use it in the daw. Mr user, i reign supreme, my needs come first" lol.Īs an example i like the "dune" plug in synth software on certain things. Otherwise the OS might say "i dont give a hoot what you want (particularly non ssd // old style hard drives.) My rule is keep the OS lonely by itself on its own drive. Plug in libs on the same drive as windows resides on you might run into severe problems.Īny major eg sample lib i would install on a seperate drive, so one doesnt run into drive contention probs. IN ADDITION if youve installed your fancy high resource needy Intel i9 or threadripper amd matched with ssd's out the ying yangs different story. Ive seen it time and again on low power pc's. Thus please support my wishlist item, where i mention the need for a feature in both biab and rb thats an early warning system before a pc gets overloaded. (reaps/pt/mixcraft/samp/whatever daw you use.) BUT i feel the right place for big sample orchestral libs, and fancy vsti's or really anything that needs lots of resources (particularlyįrom a tech perspective if the user has a low power pc) is lol.įrankly, and i know some will disagree. till i have the chordĪrrangement matching whats in my silly head. sometimes if i wanna get a song idea down fast in biab. i like to play along on the pc kbd and see what melodies are genned. I might generate the midi's in biab, but then load into reaper where i can experiment till my hearts content with different vsti/instruments/libs.Īlso i have a midi kbd/no sounds hooked up over usb i do midi traks with in reaper.Ģ. Ive found often some can consume lots of resources. Not wishing to upset anyone, and a merry xmas to all īut frankly, as ive had probs in the past i dont use fancy
